You are Water!!
Your health is determined largely by the nutrients, hormones, enzymes and other vital elements that originate from water. Blood which is the transport for most of these substances, is 83% water. Although you could last days and weeks without food, without water, you can last only several days before dehydrating to death.
When we are born, we are about 75% water!. By the time we become an adult, it has begun to dry up and now you are only about 70% water. This is especially significant as it signals an alteration in the basic composition that reflects the hardening, stiffening and even drying in the body as it ages. Many of the features of the elderly reflect this quality of dryness, which are the wrinkled face and hands, leathered skin and most importantly, the drying up of the hormones that supply the “juice to our lives”
How much water should you drink a day? 1 Litre for every 22kg of body weight.
Water is the foundation of good health, if you do nothing else in your quest for health – drink more water, more often. There is no other habit that will help your body more for long term health than learning how to drink more water!!
